IBSAT 2022: Application Form (Out), Exam Date (Released), Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

IBSAT 2022 national mock test window has been extended till November 15. Candidates can appear for the IBSAT mock test online at ibsindia.org. IBSAT 2022 exam will be held on December 24 and on December 25 in CBT mode. Earlier, autorities have begun the IBSAT 2022 registration online. Candidates desiring to take admission to the MBA/PGDM program of IBS 9 campuses must appear for the IBSAT 2022 exam to appear for the admission process. IBSAT 2022 registration will end on December 16, 2022. Candidates must ensure to fulfil the prescribed IBSAT eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. 

What is IBSAT?

IBS Aptitude Test or IBSAT is a national level entrance exam conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (a deemed to be University) for admission to MBA/PGPM programmes.  IBSAT scores are accepted by nine ICFAI Business Schools (IBS), namely IBS Hyderabad, IBS Mumbai, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Pune, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Jaipur and IBS Dehradun. IBSAT is a two-hour Computer-based test (CBT) comprising multiple-choice questions. IBSAT is a computer-based test that is generally conducted over a window of two days in December. Qualified candidates will have to first attend a selection briefing round and then appear for the final selection rounds, including Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round.

IBSAT Application Form 2022

The first step of the admission process begins with filling out the IBSAT 2022 application form. Candidates need to fill the application form within the slated time, as there would not be any provision for submitting the IBSAT 2022 application forms beyond the deadline. IBS aspirants will be able to apply for the IBSAT 2022 exam online. The application process will start with the creation of login ID and password and end with payment of application fee of INR 1800. IBSAT is conducted in multiple test cities across the country. 

IBSAT Eligibility Criteria 2022

 Candidates need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria to apply for the IBSAT 2022 exam: 

  • Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum 50 per cent aggregate 
  • Candidates not meeting the eligibility criteria of English medium in graduation need to submit the TOEFL/ NELT/ IELTS score 
  • Applicants in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply  
  • Candidates with a valid score of GMATCAT and NMAT by GMAC need not appear for IBSAT and can apply for direct admission

IBSAT Syllabus 2022

IBS does not prescribe the exact syllabus for IBSAT 2022. However, based on the previous year question papers the topics for IBSAT 2022 syllabus is similar to that of CAT. IBSAT 2022 syllabus will be divided into four sections. To ace the exam candidates must know the important topics for IBSAT 2022. 

IBSAT Exam Pattern 2022

IBSAT 2022 exam pattern prescribes the sections, time limit and a number of questions in a question paper. As per the exam pattern of IBSAT 2022 the question paper will be divided into four sections. There will be no sectional time limit and candidates will be able to switch between sections as per their preference. IBSAT 2022 exam will be conducted for a duration of 120 minutes.

IBSAT 2022 Preparation Tips

IBSAT is a speed-based test and students need to solve 140 questions within two hours. Keeping this in mind, candidates should chalk out an IBSAT preparation timeline to cover essential topics from the syllabus. Also, they need to shortlist and refer to the best books for IBSAT preparation, five-year IBSAT sample papers and online mock tests. They must follow the below-mentioned tips while preparing for IBSAT 2022:

1. Allot three to four months to cover the IBSAT syllabus

2. Analyse self-preparation level through practice of IBSAT sample papers

3. Read each topic included in the IBSAT syllabus and simultaneously create short notes on each topic to revise them from time to time

4. Rather than randomly preparing the topics, follow a systematic plan to complete the IBSAT syllabus

5. Discuss all the doubts with peer members to clarify them and also help others in the group to clarify their doubts as well



IBSAT 2022 Admit Card

Authorities will release the IBSAT admit card soon after the registration process is over. Candidates who will have registered for the entrance exam will be able to download the admit card when released. The IBSAT 2022 admit card is expected to release week prior to the date of examination. Candidates will be able to download the hall ticket online only.

IBSAT Question Paper 2022

Candidates preparing for the IBSAT exam must download the question paper to know the exam pattern, syllabus and difficulty level over past years. IBSAT question paper helps candidates in assessing their preparation level and improves their speed and accuracy within the exam duration.

IBSAT Result 2022

IBSAT 2022 scorecard is released on the official website. In order to check the scorecard and download IBSAT 2022 result, test-takers need to log in using the hall ticket number, registration number and date of birth. Based on the scores obtained by the test takers, they will be called for successive rounds.

Based on the performance in IBSAT 2022, shortlisted candidates have to appear for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. In these rounds, candidates are judged on the basis of their optimistic outlook, leadership qualities and negotiation skills.

IBSAT Cutoff 2022

IBSAT 2022 cutoff will be released soon after the declaration of result. Candidates meeting the IBSAT cutoff 2022 will be shortlisted for the GD-PI rounds on the basis of which final admissions will be granted to the students. As per the previous year’s cutoff, the IBSAT cutoff for IBS Hyderabad is expected to be 72-78. IBSAT cutoff 2022 will be released across 8 IBS campuses- Hyderabad, Mumbai, Gurugram, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
